NAAAP Philadelphia Appoints Perry Cozzone to Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA – January 12, 2023 – The National Association of Asian American Professionals – Philadelphia Chapter (NAAAP Philadelphia) has recently appointed Perry Cozzone as a member of its Board of Directors for a three-year term effective January 1, 2023.

Perry was the former President and CEO at CRC Industries and had a passion for transforming organizations and inspiring others to achieve superior results. 

Throughout his career, he has consistently accelerated growth and enhanced profitability by building top-performing teams, identifying new go-to-market opportunities, and creating a competitive advantage through operational efficiency and digital enablement. Perry combines a tech foundation with broad expertise across alobal P&L management, operations, business development, and sales and experience in industries spanning startups to multibillion-dollar organizations. He is a diversity and inclusion champion who leads with a commitment to open communication and continuous improvement.

NAAAP Philadelphia Appoints Subarna Malakar as Chairman of the Board

PHILADELPHIA – August 25th, 2022 – The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP Philadelphia), a national all-volunteer Pan-Asian American professional organization, is excited to announce the appointment of Subarna Malakar as Chairman of the Board, effective October 1, 2022.

Subarna is a U.S. Army veteran with an MBA from Temple University: Fox School of Business, a B.S. from the University of Maryland, and a Certificate in Leadership Academy from Harvard University. He is currently the Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) for Sanofi North America. In his role, he drives DE&I strategy and initiatives where employees reflect the diversity of our communities, unleashing their best selves every day to transform the practice of medicine. Subarna has more than 25 years of professional experience with 15 years as an executive in Global DE&I, corporate social responsibility, and culture change management, working for global companies including FMC, Ahold Delhaize, Thomson Reuters, Unilever, and Sodexo. Subarna has been a board member of NAAAP last three years.

 Subarna states, “It takes commitment, collaboration, and coalition to lead NAAAP- Philadelphia. I have some of the best minds in this organization to support the mission of NAAAP to build future Asian American leaders while impacting our ever-growing Asian community and creating an inclusive organization for all”.

NAAAP Philadelphia Appoints Pamela Zee to Board of Directors

The National Association of Asian American Professionals – Philadelphia Chapter (NAAAP Philadelphia) has recently appointed Pamela Zee as a member of its Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Dr. Pamela Zee leads the Cardiovascular Renal and Metabolism (CVRM) Pediatric Center of Excellence for AstraZeneca. She is a clinical development physician leader and pediatric trial expert with over 14 years of drug development experience. As a cross functional matrix leader, Pam has made important contributions to the development of products spanning the immunoscience, metabolics, renal and cardiovascular therapeutic areas.

Pam earned her B.A. and M.D. degrees at Vassar College and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), respectively. After an internal medicine residency, she built an academic clinical practice as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ for almost 10 years before joining the pharmaceutical industry. NAAAP Philadelphia Appoints Cindy Lewis to Board of Directors

The National Association of Asian American Professionals – Philadelphia Chapter (NAAAP Philadelphia) has recently appointed Cindy Lewis, CPA as a member of its Board of Directors for a three-year term.

“We are very pleased to welcome Cindy to the NAAAP Philadelphia Board of Directors,” said Ping Cao, President of NAAAP Philadelphia. “As a CFO, Cindy’s strong experience in financial strategy and operations will be invaluable to us as we continue carrying out our mission and developing future leaders with organizations throughout The Greater Philadelphia.”

Cindy is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Coho Partners, Ltd. where she is responsible for executing the company’s financial strategy and overseeing all aspects of its financial operations. With 23 years in the financial industry, Cindy has experience in finance and accounting operations and reporting, M&A, corporate restructurings, digital transformation, product development, and due diligence programs. She previously worked at Valley Forge Capital Management, Aberdeen Standard Investments, TIFF Advisory Service, Inc. and Ernst & Young, LLP.

Cindy also serves as a board member and finance committee chair for the Wilma Theater, is a founding board member of the Greater Philadelphia chapter of Ascend, and a founding board member of the Women in Investing Network.
